First of all, Uncle Doug: you should come and visit! Second, Mom: the boys are just three random kids who saw me taking pictures of birds which I saw in this dump area. They thought my camera was so cool. When I told them that I was taking pictures of birds, they started running around and pointing to birds I should take pictures of! Yes, the trash is blocking up a rivulet that runs into the Ganges and is making it more putrid. Yes, the water is as polluted as it looks. The pigs are in Varanasi. They are all over the place, and especially love rooting around in the trash and putrid water.

The baby monkeys are in a hibiscus bush next to our program house.
